The music of “The Moog Citations“ was created using only an analog monophonic Moog Minimoog Model D synthesizer, a drum machine, and a voice.

These six videos cite famous human beings. Their quotes are extremely apt and relevant in light of our turbulent times—marked by climate change and distortions of facts.

Sound Design is the expertise to use audio (tracks) in order to model spatial sonic storytelling. We as listeners perceive this sonic storytelling through our auditory system in a three-dimensional space around us. Our ears are our “organ of time”. Hence, in our listening experience the past and the future converge in the present. As a result, our auditory sense—complementing our sense of sight—allows us to re-live our environment in its three spatial dimensions far more intensely than many people may realize.

This book recounts the more than 100-year history of sound design in the media and product industries and how these industries have transformed our auditory perception and our culture of listening.
